Entrepreneur

I chose the Entrepreneur site because one I like the content and visit often. Second I chose it because I think the layout of so much content is incredible. For a site that has to update and add new articles all the time I think it is significant. Everything is clear on the topic. The use of orange color buttons is a good design choice because it is the only dominant eyecatching color. It is a good call to action. I like how images are linked to the article in another web browser.

Crossfit

The CrossFit website has undergone some changes in the last couple of years. The brand is trying to appeal to more people. I think it is interesting as the logo changed to a more modern timeless and less of the red white and blue. I red a recent article by Rob Walker on branding by numbers and it states that in the last couple of years designers have been moving brands away from U.S. Flags and colors to more ambiguous logos. The website offers a very clean approach to CrossFit. This is where the Work Out of the Day is. It creates a community and brings people together. The website is easily navigated and mobile friendly. I visit this website because I am a crossfitter and weightlifter.

AIGA

The AIGA graphic designer websites is a website I visit mainly for school. It is important to stay up on the current trends and there is a very large graphic design community on the website. They incorporate an interesting staggered grid design. I think this is a current trend. It is not the same as ecommerce where everything is lined up horizontally, however, the diagnol designs is interesting. They have a lot of color schemes that work well on their website.

Forbes

I visit Forbes, like Entrepreneur website, for the content. It is simialr to a magazine and is very clear. Forbes is friendly for bothdesktop and mobile friendly. I visit these website because my dream is to own my own business and the content is relevant. I think one of the most consistent element is that the branding is consistent across all platforms. It is old fashioned and yet new and modern.

Amazon

I chose Amazon for sereval reasons. One reason is that Amazon is not like the other websites and is an ecommerce website. They specialize in product sales instead of content driven website. They are one of the best at what they do. I think it is very singnificant because they have to use photo manipulation that would be needed for product pictures.Another well done element of the Amazon website is grid display. Their grids are consistent and easy to show multiple products.
