As previously mentioned the Electric is a supremely fast launcher coming out 13-14 frames fast depending on which Mishima character you pick. The move is also exceptional once blocked, throwing the opponent backward and leaving you at plus 5 meaning you can act freely for 5 frames before the opponent is able to input any commands. This makes the Electric a total outlier amongst launchers which are generally punishable by the opponent or at the very least negative on block. Not only this but the electric deals very high damage, hits low to the ground, and even has a modicum of tracking. All of these attributes combined make the Electric an extremely deadly technique that serves as the cornerstone of Mishima offense and functions as their primary launcher for punishing unsafe moves on block and whiff.
It is important to note that the Electric is a move that is done out of a stance. The stance in this case is called a crouch dash and is executed by pressing (forward, neutral, down, downforward). Once you've entered into the crouch dash you'll want to press 2 (y or triangle) which will perform the Wind God Fist. The Electric is actually a variant of this done by pressing downforward and 2 at the exact same time (within 1/16th of a second of eachother, a "just frame"). This means that the Wind God Fist has variable speeds depending on the player and executing the command perfectly rewards you with the superior Electric version. This is no easy feat and requires alot of practice to get down consistently. Even professional players are known to screw it up from time to time.
For starters the move is a high attack meaning the opponent can go under it with a well timed crouch or high crush. A high crushing move is an attack that is invincible to ALL high hitting moves.
Secondly the move is not a true homing move meaning the opponent can advance around it using lateral movement such as a sidestep. Electric will sometimes track making stepping around it a risky play but it is something to be careful of.
Thirdly is a weakness for most moves in the game that is, you don't want to whiff the move. While it can be tempting to just throw Electrics out given how powerful they are, doing so and whiffing can result in serious consquences against a sharp opponent.
Finally and probably the most obvious coveat for a new player is the difficulty of actually doing the move. Electrics take practive and failing to input them properly can result in a move that you didnt plan for which can get you in trouble.
